Hello, I'm Sean. I'm a graphic designer and front end developer. I also like cats, cars, and coffee.
Hello there! I’m Sean. I was raised in Wisconsin Dells, a tourist destination in the middle of Wisconsin. Coming from a popular vacation destination, I was exposed to a wide variety of advertisement and design. I knew I wanted to work in the design field from a very young age, in fact one would often find young Sean filling sketch pads with his own logos and billboards.
Moving a few chapters on in life, I graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in graphic design and went to work at a commodities brokerage firm as a Media Technician first and later a Graphic Designer. I learned the ropes of adult life, trading futures, and got some great real world design experience. After working in the financial industry for nearly three years I moved on to the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa and then on to my current position as Graphic Designer at Tri-North Builders in Madison, Wisconsin.
But that’s enough about me! I want to know how I can help you! Let’s get in touch.
In my current position at Tri-North I assist the Marketing and Business Development Departments to produce a wide variety of traditional print pieces including proposals, brochures and business cards. I've also designed the firm's new truck wraps and a website for the firm's sub-brand. In addition to these items I've also updated Tri-North's brand standards.
As a Special Projects Designer, I assist the marketing director and the graphic design coordinator in creating several print projects including brochures, flyers, logos and invitations as they occur.
In my position at Boyd Gaming, I served as the main graphic designer for the Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia, Louisiana and Sam's Town - Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana and later the lead designer for the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa.
Originally hired as a summer employee I became the firm's first full time graphic designer. I was responsible for design and marketing work for three separate brands: Penson Futures, efutures.com, and First Capitol Ag. I was also responsible for transitioning the marketing and design pieces, including websites and sales materials, of Penson Futures to Knight Futures and then ultimately to KCG Futures.
While studying Graphic Design in Platteville I was heavily involved in the Pioneer Advertising Federation (Platteville's American Advertising Federation chapter) having first served as the Public Relations chairperson and then President.
I assist the Kids Building Wisconsin board members by designing print and web pieces, operating their social media profiles, and managing the sponsor onboarding process.
